COVID-19 UPDATE: We Are Open For Dental Emergency
The Australian Dental Association has passed level 3 restrictions to all dental practices in Australia.
Port Macquarie Dental Centre will be prohibiting all routine dental treatments at the moment until a later date.
However, we are still open for emergency and urgent treatments.
Still, not every dental situation is an emergency.
Urgent dental treatment involves providing care for conditions that cause intense pain, infection or directly affect your health and wellbeing.
This can include:
- Severe toothache/dental pain
- Dental abscess or infection within the mouth
- Broken tooth where the nerve becomes exposed
- Knocked-out tooth caused by vehicular or sports accidents
- Medically urgent dental treatment prior to medical or surgical procedures that cannot be delayed
- Dental conditions that, if left ignored, may become a dental emergency in 4-6 months.
If you have one or more conditions stated above, you may be experiencing a dental emergency. Call your Port Macquarie dentist immediately and let us know your situation.
IMPORTANT: Do not attend for treatment if you have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or if you have symptoms such as cough, fever, sore throat or difficulty in breathing.
We ask you to please attend your appointment alone or bring minimal additional persons.
If you are attending for treatment, Port Macquarie Dental Centre assures you that we have implemented further infection control measures to keep everyone virus-free.
Although all routine treatments have been postponed for the time being, please know we are here to continue helping you care for your oral health.
Please call the surgery if you need any assistance or clarification. Call us on (02) 6583 1711 to book your appointment.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we take extra precautions to protect all patients and staff in our practice.
This, too, shall pass. We look forward to making you smile soon.
Please stay at home, stay healthy.
